Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how well self-management strategies used in group guidance at SMA Negeri 1 Jalancagakcan minimize academic procrastination among students. Methods of quantitative description are used in this study. A sample of 16 students, consisting of 8 students in the experimental group and 8 other students in the control group, was selected from the 208 students in the research population. All students have the right to be samples in research projects, and the sample was chosen usingrandom sampling, which allows the researcher to collect samples without considering particular strata. The study's findings demonstrate that using self-management techniques in conjunction with group guidance services has been successful in lowering student procrastination, as evidenced by the average decrease between the experimental group's pre-test results (141.25) and post-test results (113.75), while the control group's pre-test results (124.75) and post-test results (124.00) showed an average increase.The experimental group's score, which was 27.5, significantly decreased. This indicates that, with paired sample t-test values of 0.001< 0.05, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
