PROFIL EFIKASI DIRI SISWA TINGKAT VIII SMP NEGERI 1 CIMAHI

Abstract

This research aims to determine the self-efficacy profile of level VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi in 2024. This research combines a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The total sample was 83 students with sampling using simple random sampling techniques. Experts assess that the self-efficacy questionnaire used as a data collection instrument is valid and reliable. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics in the form of frequency values ​​and percentages. The research results show that more than 60% of the 83 students already have good self-efficacy, but there are still some who are in the low category. Therefore, it is necessary to increase self-efficacy for some students so that they are able to believe in their abilities and be persistent in trying to achieve something and view difficulties as challenges, not threats. The implication of this research is that as a profile illustration in the low category students need understanding and preventive services to increase their efficacy and in the high category they can be assisted with maintenance and development services so that students continue to improve and maintain their abilities.
