A high percentage stated that Indonesian student athletes had difficulty meeting academic requirements, so efforts were needed to increase self-regulation in learning. The aim of this research is to reveal the effectiveness of self-regulated learning techniques to improve self-regulation in learning in pencak silat athletes at SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan. The method used is a mixed method, with an explanatory sequential design research design. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, the sample used was 12 athletes. The quantitative data collection instrument used in this research is a self-regulation questionnaire which has been tested for validity with a total of 56 statements and a reliability test which has been declared reliable with a score of 0.921 ≥ 0.060. Meanwhile, the qualitative data collection instruments used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique for this research uses statistical tests by carrying out the N-Gain test. The research results showed that there was an improvement between the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, namely that there was an increase in self-regulation in the athletes' learning. This result is shown based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test, which found the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.002 < 0.05. Which shows Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that group guidance services using self-regulated learning techniques can improve self-regulation in athletes' learning.
