Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of group guidance services with PTSDL material on improving the quality of student learning. The quality of student learning is influenced by various internal and external factors that can hinder the learning process. Group guidance services with PTSDL material (Prerequisites for Mastery of Subject Matter, Learning Skills, Learning Resources, Personal Conditions, and Socioemotional Environment) are designed to help students understand and overcome these obstacles comprehensively. This study is an associative study with a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 30 students of class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 4 Idanogawo, who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument used a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using partial regression tests (t test) and simultaneous (F test). The results of the analysis show that partially, group guidance services have a significant effect on improving the quality of student learning, with a calculated t value of 10.687> t table 0.68368 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Likewise, PTSDL material has a significant effect partially, with a calculated t of 4.668> t table 0.68368 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on improving the quality of student learning with a calculated F value of 270.960> F table 2.960 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.953 indicates that 95.3% of the variation in the quality of student learning can be explained by group guidance services and PTSDL materials. This finding emphasizes the importance of implementing group guidance services with PTSDL materials in a structured manner to improve the quality of student learning effectively and comprehensively.
