The rapid development of the digital era, especially social media such as Instagram, has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the mental health of adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of Instagram social media use on the mental health of students at SMK Negeri 2 Pagaralam. This study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression method, with data collection techniques using a Likert scale and respondent selection using simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and determination tests. The results showed that the use of Instagram social media had a positive and significant effect on students' mental health. The significance value obtained was 0.000 (< 0.05) and the coefficient of determination (R²) value was 0.816, which means that 81.6% of the variation in mental health is explained by the use of Instagram. The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.903 shows a very strong and positive relationship between the two variables. The normality test results show that the data is normally distributed (Asymp. Sig = 0.097 > 0.05), and the linearity test is also significant (Sig = 0.000 < 0.05). This means that the higher the intensity of Instagram use, the greater the effect on students' mental health. This finding emphasizes the importance of education, particularly guidance and counseling services, in providing digital literacy and mental health support for students in today's digital age.
