Abstract

In the learning process at school, we often see students who are less able to process their emotions so that it affects their learning outcomes. Therefore, intellectual intelligence is not the only success of a child but because there are others who influence it. Including the emotional turmoil that is happening in the development of adolescent students. In the development of students, it is not only intellectual intelligence that must be improved but emotional intelligence must also be developed because adolescents must be able to adapt and manage emotions to changes that occur. In this study, researchers describe emotional intelligence. The purpose of this study was to describe the emotional intelligence of 8th grade students at MTs Persis Tarogong Garut. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The results of this study indicate that the category of emotional intelligence of 8th grade students of MTs Persis Tarogong is in the medium category.
