LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK SELF MANAGEMENT UNTUK MEREDUKSI PERILAKU AGRESIF SISWA

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of aggressive behavior of class X students at SMA Negeri 5 Cimahi who are indicated to experience aggressive behavior in the high category. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services with self management techniques to reduce student aggressive behavior. The research method uses Mixed Method with the explanatory sequential design. The selected population was 66 students. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, where the researcher took the sample by determining the characteristics. From the results of the study there were 8 students as research samples in class X-6. The results showed that there was a decrease in scores on the pretest and posttest test results, which means that group guidance services with self management techniques are effective for reducing students aggressive behavior. These results are also supported by the results of the t test with a significance value of 0.000, which means that there is effectiveness in the application of group guidance services with self management techniques. The process of applying group guidance services with self management techniques goes well, characterized by the creation of an interactive atmosphere and high enthusiasm. The obstacles faced by counseling teachers are related to the limited time for implementing services. While the obstacles faced by students are related to the influencing environment. From the results of this study, it is hoped that students will always have the awareness not to behave aggressively which harms or hurts others.
