Balok sebagai Permainan Anak Usia Dini untuk Meningkatkan Karakter Kerja Sama

Abstract

The cooperative character of children in Group B1 at Kober Griya Alam had not developed optimally, as seen in some children who were still focused on their activities during playtime, were unwilling to share toys with peers, tended to be selfish, did not want to compromise, and showed a lack of responsibility during learning. Therefore, block play media was used to foster a sense of responsibility and cooperation, as this type of play involves collaborative activities that can strengthen cooperative character. The purpose of this study was to examine the improvement in cooperative character among children in Group B1 aged 5–6 years through the use of block play media, using the Classroom Action Research method. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques in the form of percentage calculations. The subjects of this study were 10 children from Group B1 at Kober Griya Alam. The results showed an improvement in children’s cooperative character from 40.83% initially to 45.83% in the first cycle, remaining at 45.83% in the second cycle, and increasing to 87.5% in the third cycle. It can be concluded that block play media can effectively improve the cooperative character of children in Group B1 at Kober Griya Alam.
