Penerapan Modul Pembelajaran Tematik Terintegrasi Nilai-Nilai Karakter Lokal untuk Guru Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Pedesaan

Basic education in rural areas still faces challenges in integrating local character values into the thematic learning process. The Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes local context, has not been fully implemented optimally due to limitations in contextual learning resources and teachers' understanding of local wisdom values. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of elementary school teachers in developing and implementing thematic learning modules that are integrated with local character values. The approach used in this activity is participatory training based on community-based learning, which involves teachers in rural areas of Batujajar District, West Bandung Regency. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' ability to design contextual learning modules by 87% based on the pre-test and post-test results. Teachers also showed an increase in their understanding of the application of local character values such as mutual cooperation, responsibility, and love for the environment in learning. In conclusion, the application of thematic learning modules based on local values can strengthen the relevance of education to community life and be an effective strategy in shaping the character of students.
