PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS BERITA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) BERBANTUAN MEDIA CANVA PADA SISWA MA

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in writing news texts due to lack of interest, motivation and the use of less interesting learning methods, so that students have difficulty in writing news texts. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the problem based learning (PBL) model assisted by Canva media in improving the ability to write news texts of class XI students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through test results (pretest and posttest), observation and distribution of questionnaires to 25 MA YPI Nurul Huda students. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase in the results of the pretest-posttest with an average pretest score of 57.5 increasing to 83.3 in the posttest, showing a difference in increase of 25.8. In addition, observations and questionnaires showed a very good category. Educator observations got a percentage of 84% with a very good category. The response questionnaire got a very good category a percentage of 79%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the problem based learning model assisted by Canva media is effective in improving the news text writing skills of class XI MA YPI Nurul Huda students.
