PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN CANVA PADA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI KELAS VIII

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of learning problems which generally still use conventional models, therefore students are less able to write exposition texts. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the Canva-assisted problem-based learning model to the ability to write exposition texts of class VIII students. The method used in this research is experimental quantitative research. The subjects of this research were class VIII students of SMPN 9 Cimahi. The sample of this research was students of class VIII E. The variable of this research was learning to write exposition texts using the Canva-assisted problem-based learning model. The data collection technique uses the quantitative method in the form of test scores for the ability to write exposition texts using the Canva-assisted problem-based learning model. Data processing techniques using Microsoft Excel. The success criteria of this research can be seen from the increase in the success of the resulting process. The results of the study showed that there were differences in student learning outcomes before and after the treatment with an average pretest score of 68.24 and a posttest score of 86.40. This shows that the application of the Canva-assisted problem-based learning model to the ability to write exposition texts can improve student learning outcomes with a difference in score of 18.16.
