Peer Review Process

The initial step in the manuscript submission process involves an editor's review to determine its compatibility with the focus and scope of the JPMI (Jurnal Pembelajaran Matematika Inovatif), as well as to identify any significant methodological flaws and assess its similarity score using Turnitin.

Following this, the manuscript will undergo double-blind peer review, wherein it will be assessed by at least two anonymous referees based on criteria such as contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. Subsequently, the reviewers' feedback will be relayed to the corresponding author for necessary revisions and responses.

Ultimately, the editorial board will convene to evaluate the suggested decision. Once a decision is reached, the editor will communicate the final verdict to the corresponding author.

Review Outcomes

Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process will take approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Decisions categories include:

1. Reject/Decline - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to JPMI (Jurnal Pembelajaran Matematika Inovatif).

2. Resubmit for Review - The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. However, It will require a second round of review.

3. Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in JPMI (Jurnal Pembelajaran Matematika Inovatif) under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made prior to publication.

4. Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.

The articles will be sent to the peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by Double-Blind Peer Review Process, that the reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author does not know the identity of the reviewer. In the review process, reviewers consider the correspondence of title, abstract, discussion (findings) and conclusions. In addition, reviewers also consider the novelty, scientific impact and references used in the paper.

The reviewers' responses will be the basis for the Editor to conclude the next stage, such as: Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit for review, Resubmit elsewhere, Decline Submission.

The reviewers' and editor's suggestions will be conveyed to the author, who will then have an opportunity to revise the paper. A manuscript returned to an author for revision can be held for a maximum of four weeks.
