Model discovery learning berbantuan geogebra: Evaluasi pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII

This study aims to evaluate the improvement in mathematical understanding and student response in GeoGebra-assisted Discovery Learning model compared to conventional methods. The study used a convergent parallel mixed method involving two classes, namely class VIII-B as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class, each consisting of 30 students. Quantitative data were obtained through a mathematical comprehension test consisting of 7 questions. Qualitative data were obtained through student response questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 25 software, while qualitative data were processed using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that students who used the GeoGebra-assisted Discovery Learning model had a better level of mathematical understanding than students who followed conventional learning. In addition, students responded positively to this learning model, as indicated by the fact that most of the questionnaire statements were rated as very good. During the learning process, students found it easier to understand the material because they could explore concepts directly through GeoGebra’s visualizations, making the material easier to comprehend.
