Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media, STECU, assisted by VBA Excel within a challenge-based learning framework in enhancing students’ mathematical creative thinking ability. The method used was R&D on the ADDIE model stages. The participants included 6 students in the one-to-one trial, 20 students in the small group trial, and 35 students in the field trial. The implementation phase involved 33 students in the control class and 33 students in the experimental class at a junior high school in Cimahi. Data were collected through validation sheets, observations, interviews, response questionnaires, preliminary studies, and test instruments. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including N-gain calculations. The findings indicate that the developed media achieved high validity, with scores of 96.59% for media aspects and 95.56% for material aspects. The practicality results showed excellent ratings across trials, with percentages of 87.50%, 89%, and 90.48%, respectively. Furthermore, the effectiveness analysis revealed that the experimental class achieved a higher N-gain 0,77 compared to the control class 0,53. These results suggest that the STECU media effective in improving students’ mathematical creative thinking ability.
