Computational thinking is a skill that is required in the twenty-first century. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an instrument capable of objectively measuring computational thinking skills. The study aims to provide an evaluation model for computational thinking abilities in the form of a computational thinking test instrument for junior high school students. This study is a reasearch and development using the ADDIE method. However, this study is limited to the development stage. The developed instrument has undergone assessments for both content and construct validity. Additionally, construct validity is derived from both small and large group trials. These trials yield results regarding students responses, item validity, reliability, difficulty level, and item discrimination. This investigation generates findings. According to content validity, a valid test instrument has been developed with an Aiken V value of 0.81 (extremely high). Also, the student response questionnaire in the large-scale trial showed moderate findings. According to construct validity, there are 5 valid questions, a moderate reliability level, 6 questions with a tough level of difficulty, and 5 questions with low discrimination power. The construct validity results show that the questions are incompatible with the validity criteria, so they should be improved and tested again.
