Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP dengan discovery learning berbantuan wingeom

The purpose of this study is to develop junior high school students' understanding of mathematical concepts on the topic of triangle similarity through the use of the Discovery Learning model integrated with the Wingeom application. The sample in this study consisted of seventh-grade students from class VII-C as the experimental group and VII-A as the control group at SMP Negeri 1 Rancabali, with a total of 60 students. This study was conducted using a mixed-method approach of the Convergent Parallel Design type. The research steps included conducting a pretest, providing learning treatment, administering a posttest, and distributing a student response questionnaire. Data collection instruments included seven essay questions and a closed-ended questionnaire. Data processing was conducted using SPSS 25 for Windows and Microsoft Excel. The analysis results showed a rejection of H_0, leading to the conclusion that the Discovery Learning model assisted by Wingeom is effective in improving understanding skills. The survei results showed a very positive response to the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by Wingeom, which proved to increase engagement as well as independent problem-solving.
