Meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education

This study seeks to examine the enhancement of students’ mathematical reasoning skills through the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education approach. The research method used is a Quasi-Experimentas design, specifically utilizing as Prretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Groups Design . The subjects in this study consists of eighth-grade students of SMP PGRI Cibeureum, involving a total 56 students partitioned into two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The research instruments used include a test consisting of 5 questions. The test data obtained will be analyzed using statistical techniques with assistance SPSS by examining the Posttest result. According to the data analysis and accompanying discussion, it was found that there wa an improvement in students’ mathematical reasoning skills when learning through the Realistic Mathematics Education approach, with the level of improvement categorized as moderate.
