The objective of this study is to present innovative teaching materials that adapt the scientific learning flow assisted by PowerPoint as an effort to escalate the mathematical understanding capacity of eighth grade students. This study is based on a research and development (R&D) design by making the ADDIE framework as its main guideline. The participants involved in the product trial stage include 30 eighth grade students from a Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in the Cianjur Regency area. The data collection process in this study comes from three main instruments, namely: (1) five essay test items; (2) a questionnaire instrument; and (3) media validation sheets and interview guidelines. To measure the effectiveness of the product, researchers applied the Normalized Gain (N-gain) test. Research findings indicate that the percentage of feasibility reached 84.75%. In addition, the effectiveness of the product is proven by the N-gain score of 0.72, which is accompanied by an absolute classical pass rate (100%) and an average class achievement of 90.25. These findings confirm that this teaching materials has been proven to meet the feasibility standards, as well as being effective in boosting the mathematical understanding competency of students in grade VIII.
