Post-Publication Discussion
Post-Publication Discussion and Comment Policy
JPMI (Jurnal Pembelajaran Matematika Inovatif) welcomes scholarly discussion of published articles as part of its commitment to maintaining integrity, improving quality, and supporting self-correction in scholarly publishing.
Submission of Post-Publication Comments
-
Comments must be submitted in the form of a Letter to the Editor sent to jpmi@journal.ikipsiliwangi.ac.id, with the subject line: “Post-Publication Comment – [Article Title]”.
-
The letter must identify the article being commented on, including its DOI, if available. It must not exceed 1,000 words or 10 references and should focus on scientific, methodological, theoretical, or research interpretation aspects.
-
Comments are encouraged to be submitted within 12 months of the article's publication. Comments submitted after this period may still be considered if they demonstrate strong scholarly relevance.
Handling of Post-Publication Comments
-
The editor evaluates the relevance, scientific basis, substance, and professionalism of the language used in the submitted comments.
-
Comments that meet the criteria will be forwarded to the authors of the relevant article for a response. The authors will be invited to submit their response within 30 days of receiving the invitation.
-
The comments and the authors' responses may be published together in a subsequent issue or through another publication mechanism determined by the editor. Where possible, both will be linked to the original article to maintain the interconnectedness of the scholarly publication record.
-
If a comment reveals a significant scientific error or an alleged breach of publication ethics, the editor will follow up in accordance with JPMI's Correction and Retraction Policy and applicable policies for handling research and publication misconduct.
Ethical Principles for Submitting Comments
Comments must be objective, evidence-based, and focused on scholarly substance. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, unprofessional language, and comments unrelated to the scholarly content of the article will not be considered for publication.
